Using the terminology from The X Factor, the Balenciaga Spring Summer 2012 presentation was astounding.
Next season's Balenciaga girl will appreciate the classic urban wardrobe with modern couture constructivism that no other house is quite able to master as it's creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere.
As always, Ghesquiere pushed the silhouette forward, this time with broad shoulders, accentuated waist-lines, futuristic fabrics and patchwork prints. Even the jeans got a makeover, with denim in front and twill fabric in the back.
As Vogue editor Alexandra Shulmans said: "the show is quite unlike everything anyone else has done, which is exciting”.
