Her penchant for fitted dresses and body-con pieces were replaced with a new silhouette. Focusing on chic daywear, dresses were short, with bias cut hemlines, which also came fluted and frilled. Angular shapes as seen on tops, came appliqued or paneled, with the focus of the silhouette on the waist. The blouse was a key item for spring.
Colours were pale and light, offset with a range of whites, pebble grey, fuchsia pink and red, something that was also seen on accessories.
The emerging trend for rounded shoulder lines was addressed in the collection’s duster coats, as were the long knee-length shorts and cropped gaucho pants teamed with sharp white shirts or bias tunic tops and elongated flute-hem camisoles.
