Victoria Beckham showcased her Autumn/Winter 2014 collection on the New York catwalk with the full support of the Beckham family, as sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, joined father David and daughter Harper on the front row.
The collection was hailed as one of her best yet, moving away from the body-conscious dresses that made her brand to a line featuring long and lean silhouettes that had editors referencing the similarities to luxury French label Céline.
For Autumn/Winter, Beckham showcased a mainly monochrome collection, clean in colour except for the odd splash of red and a colourful abstract print that added a contemporary touch. The line continued to flirt with masculine details, as seen last season, with oversized tailored coats that were mannish in the front, but featured chiffon box pleats at the back to add a hint of femininity.
The pleats were also seen on the dresses and skirts, with a highlight being the pleated maxi skirt layered over straight-leg trousers. The details of the collection also impressed with gold chain fasteners, gentle ruffles, sheer tops, and pointy brogues. The collection ended with a number of red carpet ready gowns.
