NYFW: Alexander Wang AW14

Monday, 10 February 2014
Alexander Wang delivered a collection of urban utility with strong outerwear and jackets. There was an abundance of detailing characteristic of shooting jackets, with multiple pockets, bullet carriers and elbow patches.

As his fashion freedom fights took to the catwalk, their silhouette was short and boxy. Tunics and shifts with military details came in wools, flannels and gingham checks. Key items focused primarily on the outerwear but also sweaters in horizontal rope stripes that had his signature sporty feel.

Wang updated his colour palette and alongside his statement black introduced fuchsia, lime, aubergine and greys. It was a collection full of texture, colour and detailing, from the footwear - statement boots with a back zip, to the accessories of military boxy bags.
