Monday, 15 September 2014

Orla Kiely specialises in pretty, retro-inspired dresses and her Spring/Summer 2015 was very true to brand with a garden of flowers worked into her collection.

The Irish designer has a gathered a following for her theatrical approach to fashion week, from her Mad Men style typing pool to her girls on safari, and this season was no different with the models each carrying a large wooden flower, which they planted in pots on stage, while Californian artist Alia Penner painted wildflowers on a glass screen behind them.

The collection was very signature Kiely with Sixties silhouettes and floral prints, with the oversized daisy print used on dresses, skirts, and wide-leg trousers, which were teamed with lemon and pale pink jacquard coats, quirky giant flower bags and her latest footwear collaboration with Clarks.
