Fashion house Fendi began the restoration of Rome's famous Trevi Fountain this week, unveiling a transparent suspended walkway which will give tourists a new vantage point of the historic monument. The plexiglass bridge "is a way to show people the fountain from a position no-one has been in before," Fendi said. The 2.5 million euro project is expected to take 16 months to complete.
