Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2014

The pre fall collections are arguably the most important deliveries for fashion brands, as they have the longest selling time in stores and are often the most commercial looks. The runway collections may generate the most press and red carpet attention, but it is the pre collections that make the profit.

Alexander Wang showed a confident pre-fall collection for Balenciaga now that the American designer has been at the helm of the Paris fashion house for a year and has had a chance to marry the codes of the house with his own signatures.

Balenciaga has always been a brand about sharp, geometric and even futurist tailoring. Wang's sportswear aesthetic has made it more approachable and perhaps more saleable.
