World Trade Center to house luxury retailers

A host of international luxury brands including Giorgio Armani, Tom Ford and Tiffany are expected to take up leases in the new retail complex of New York's World Trade Center.

The Westfield owned shopping mecca is due to open in 2015 with street-level stores offering 365,000 square meters of shopping space.

Victoria's Secret and Michael Kors have also signed leases, according to the Australian.

Australia’s Westfield first invested in the centre in 2001 and then in March spent 800 million dollars to buy out the half-share it did not yet own from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
