Stella McCartney has been confirmed to show at London Fashion Week in February.
The designer, who's brand is part of the Gucci Group PPR, has previously shown in Paris.
McCartney will showcase her autumn winter 2012 collection and a one-off collection on 18 February with a "special fashion presentation." February will be a month of marketing mania for Stella, with a "World of Stella" exhibition of Selfridges, a new fragrance launch, and the opening of a new Stella McCartney store, her second in London.
Although the "one-off" collection won't be Olympic-themed, the company will be hoping to capitalise on London 2012 fever thanks to the designer's commission by Adidas to be "creative director" of the British team's kit.
Meanwhile, the British Fashion Council will also be hoping that this London debut of a full Stella McCartney collection will prove enough of a roaring success to convince the designer to show in London permanently.
