DKNY cemented itself at the fore-front of social media as it was crowned Best Twitter for the fourth straight year at Style Coalition’s Fashion 2.0 Awards.
Announced in New York, the awards honour the most innovative fashion brands for their ‘achievements and communication strategies’ across a variety of digital media channels including social media platforms Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest, as voted for by the public.
There was double success for Marc Jacobs and retailer Saks Fifth Avenue - Marc Jacobs took home the Best Facebook and Top Innovator accolades, while Saks was honoured for its Saks POV blog and e-commerce website, winning Best Blog by a Fashion Brand and Best Website.
Other winners include Gilt on the Go for Best Mobile App, Of a Kind for Best Fashion Startup, ‘Diane von Furstenberg Through the Glass’ for Best Online Video and, in a new category, Anthropologie took home the Best Pinterest award.
The awards also acknowledged the achievements of Rent the Runway founders Jennifer Hyman and Jenny Fleiss who were presented with the second annual Visionary Award.
