The recently concluded Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) spring/summer generated good business. The five-day extravaganza witnessed business breaking all records, with fashion week entirely focusing on the designers and their works.
With many new international visitors and brands visiting the fashion week, designers received a good number of orders. WIFW, had more than 120 designers displaying their collections on the ramp or through their stalls. Designers like Wendell Rodricks, Namrata Joshipura, Nandita Basu, Rajesh Pratap Singh and Sanchita Ajjampur got a great response for their collections.
Apart from the spring/summer themed designs, some designers also showcased ethnic Indian lines and a fusion of Indo-western or modern wear. Designers were satisfied with the buyer response and felt that first time buyers were very excited to see the collections on display and the business response this time was much better than last season.
Fashion lovers and buyers from various locations around the world including Dubai, the Middle East, London, US, Paris and Japan to name a few thronged the venue and placed a good number of enquiries for Indian designer wear.
