Uniqlo same-store sales up 8.9 percent in January

REPORT January 2015 same-store sales of Uniqlo Japan, part of the Fast Retailing Group increased by 8.9 percent year on year while sales at its own stores increased by 10.8 percent. The company’s total sales including online sales increased by 12 percent.

The company has attributed year-on-year same-store sales rise in January to strong sales at the start of the New Year and consistently favorable sales of core ranges. The company pulled shutters on seven stores during the month under review.
