Uniqlo May same-store sales up 4.1 percent

REPORT_ Uniqlo Japan, a part of Fast Retailing Group reported that its same-store sales in May 2014 increased by 4.1 percent year-on-year while sales at its own stores increased by 7.7 percent. Total Uniqlo sales including online sales increased by 7.4 percent.

Company has attributed the same-store sales rise in May to rising seasonal temperatures that buoyed sales of summer garments throughout the month. During the month, company closed three Uniqlo stores.
