Net-A-Porter sales up by 55 percent in 2012

Luxury online retailer Net-A-Porter more than doubled its sales in 2012. However, the savvy fashionistas mecca incurred in a loss of 27 million pounds after investing heavily in the business.

According to ‘This is Money’, the designer label dealership spent 22.9 million pounds setting up new automated distribution centres in the UK and the US and launched a new centre in Hong Kong.

In addition to that, it paid 6.6 million pounds for Asian online fashion dealer Shouke, which it relaunched in order to break into the huge Chinese market.
