Fashion company Karl Lagerfeld has appointed Helen Wright as its global vice president for retail, who is set to start her new role in two weeks time.

The former Fendi president is set to join the company from LVMH Group, where over the past four years she has held a number of roles. Prior to working for LVMH Wright was managing director at British ready-to-wear label Bamford & Sons and vice president Europe at Polo Ralph Lauren.

Wright is set to report directly to Chief Executive Officer Pier Paolo Righi, reports Drapers. In the meantime the fashion house has also taken on Zara's former brand director of footwear and accessories, Jesus Samper Velasco as vice president of product and merchandising.
