John Lewis confirmed its Christmas Barometer of its weekly sales have surpassed 100 million pounds for the first time.
While it is still early in the holiday shopping season, the department store group said it 'broke the 100 million pound barrier for the first time this year.'
In its latest weekly up date, sales grew 7.2 percent to 108 million pounds, while its online sales grew 15 percent.
John Lewis saw its fashion and beauty assortments sales grow 8.5 percent on-year with premium beauty “demonstrating particularly impressive year on year growth”, jumping 17.3 percent.
Designer brands also performed “particularly well”, said Retail Operations Development director Simon Russell.
