REPORT_ House of Fraser, in the first-half of this fiscal year saw its adjusted EBITDA go up from 7.5 million pounds (12.2 million dollars) to 8.6 million pounds (14 million dollars), along with own-brand like-for-like sales rising 4.2 percent. E-commerce sales also increased by 29 percent, which now represent 14.2 percent of total sales and house brand revenues went up 10.7 percent. Gross profit growth stood at 13.4 percent.
Company attributed rise in online shoppers visiting its web-store to rebnewed look of its e-commerce platform. Store sales increased 1.2 percent over the period with all categories witnessing a rise in sales figure. While men’s wear sales were up 9.7 percent, women’s wear grew 3.4 percent, fashion accessories, 3.4 percent, home, 1.9 percent and beauty segment rise was 1.2 percent.
Now the company plans to invest 150 million pounds (245.7 million dollars) in the UK market over the next four years to improve its shopping experience for the customers by providing better store environment along with developing its online platform.
