H&M sales in August and Q3 witness positive improvement

REPORT_ The Hennes & Mauritz Group’s (H&M) sales including VAT increased by 19 percent in local currencies in August 2014, compared to the same month last year. In the third quarter of 2014, from June 1 to August 31, sales including VAT increased by 16 percent in local currencies.


Sales including VAT in the third quarter converted into SEK amounted to 45,259 million Swedish Krona (6.328.3 million dollars). Sales excluding VAT amounted to 38,805 million Swedish Krona (5,426.6 million dollars). The total number of stores reached to 3,341 on August 31, 2014 versus 2,964 on August 31, 2013. Percentage sales development for the month of September will be published on October 15, 2014.

H&M was founded in Sweden in 1947. In addition to H&M, the group brands include COS, Monki, Weekday, Cheap Monday, & Other Stories as well as H&M Home.
