Luxury department store Harvey Nichols has appointed AllSaints’ Anita Barr as its new group fashion buying director.
Barr, who will take up her new position from March 31, will be responsible for womenswear, menswear and accessories buying, and will report directly into chief executive Stacey Cartwright, who joined the retailer last month.
Cartwright said: "I am delighted that Anita will be joining the senior management team. This is an exciting time for Harvey Nichols, and her expertise and experience in this market will help strengthen our fashion leadership in the sector."
Barr leaves AllSaints after just five months - she joined the premium high street retailer in November as global product merchandising director. Prior to AllSaints she was director of menswear at Selfridges, and she served as a senior buyer at Harrods.
Commenting on her new role, Barr added: "I am thrilled to be joining Harvey Nichols in this transformative chapter in the long and proud history of one of the world's leading luxury department stores. I'm also incredibly excited to join Stacey on the journey ahead."
