Chanel renews licensing deal with Luxottica

Luxury fashion house Chanel has extended its licensing agreement with Italian eyewear manufacturer Luxottica for the exclusive development, manufacture and worldwide distribution of Chanel-branded prescription frames and sunglasses.

The new agreement means that the Luxottica, which has been working with Chanel since 1999, will continue to work with the French label until December 31, 2018, renewable for a further two years.

Andrea Guerra, chief executive officer at Luxottica, commented: “We are extremely pleased with this strategic agreement for our group which marks the further extension of an already long-standing relationship between our two companies.”

Bruno Pavlovsky, president of Chanel's Fashion added: “We are delighted to extend our relationship with Luxottica and continue to develop eyewear that is creative and of the highest quality.”
