Following Milan and Paris who are shifting the men’s fashion week dates the British Fashion Council has confirmed that London Collections:Men will not clash with the continental shows from January next year.
In 2015, London Collections: Men will run from January 10-12 and June 13-15, after agreeing with Pitti Immagine Uomo and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana that the show calendar should “endeavour to avoid an overlap”.
In a short statement the BFC added: “This joint decision works in favour of the designers, press and buyers who visit from over 37 countries.”
However, due to “existing commitments” this season there will be a one day crossover between London and Florence menswear dates in June, which will run from June 15-17.
In 2016 the shows will run: LC:M AW16 – January 9-11 and LC:M SS17 – June 11-13.
