Banana Republic is thought to be undergoing a major European expansion, in addition to opening franchise stores in the Middle East and Africa.

The American high street giant, which is owned by Gap Inc, currently operates 600 stores and 55 franchise stores around the globe.

The new franchise operations are expected to be managed from the UK. The company is currently recruiting for a newly created role of senior market manager to build a strategy and run the operation out of London.
