Next taps USC Brand Director as Head of Brands

Next has taken on Emma Alexander, former brand director at USC, to fulfill its newly created position of head of brands.

In her new role Alexander oversees the high-street retailer's host of external brands across its Next Directory, which includes Nike, Diesel and Hobbs. According to Drapers, Alexander was taken on as part of the company's strategy to focus on the sales of its third-party brands.

Alexander first began her new role last month, after she departed from her previous role at ISC, where she worked for a little under four years. Prior to joining USC, Alexander was head of buying at British department store chain Marks & Spencer and at women's wear label Jaeger.
