The Edit teams up with Graduate Fashion Week

Mobile shopping app The Edit has teamed up Graduate Fashion Week (GFW) to support the next generation of fashion talent. The Edit will be hosting two competitions in partnership with GFW, offering its app as a platform to showcase the collections of fashion graduates.

The first competition will invite the app's users to form a judging panel to select the best finalist collection to show during GFW. To vote for a graduate designer, users need to swipe right on their designs. The winning graduate designer will be announced during the GFW Award show on June 2, and will be awarded an iPad Air.

The second competition will revolve around street-style at GFW. Images will be taken of the most fashionable attendees and uploaded onto Edit's Instagram account each day. The photo which receives the most likes and re-grams at the end of every day will be invited to contribute a guest spot on the Editor’s Choice on the site of the Edit.

"As a contributor and a supporter of innovation within the fashion industry we were excited to support Graduate Fashion Week," explained Jill Thompson, marketing director for the Edit. "It gives us a fantastic opportunity to talk to the next generation of fashion talent and find out what experiences they want when they shop, sell or promote their collections within the ever increasing smartphone and digital environment."
