New Master in Fashion, Design & Luxury Management

Grenoble Graduate School of Business (GGSB) is launching a new Master of Science in Fashion, Design and Luxury Management starting form September 2012. Students can choose to study at either Grenoble or London campuses. Students can choose to study at either Grenoble or London campuses. GGSB has chosen to work with SFD London (School of Fashion and Design, London) for this program, which will also integrate a study trip to Italy.

The study will incorporate courses such as Branding Equity Management; Global leadership and People Management; Intercultural Management but also courses such as Sustainable Luxury and Design, Distribution Channels and Ditital Marketing. Overall, students will acquire a comprehensive understanding of the global fashion and luxury industry today and the challenges ahead.

Judith Bouvard, Dean of GGSB, said: “The Fashion industry is one of the most important sectors in terms of investment, revenue, trade and employment. The Luxury sector is also currently one of the biggest growth industries with a projected 8% growth for this year (Bain) and does not appear to be suffering from the current financial crisis.

“These sectors do require specific management expertise with more and more luxury companies seeking to recruit experts able to manage and grow their brands in fashion and design.

“This Master’s program provides a unique opportunity to acquire this expertise and to build a career in this fast growing and exciting sector.”

The program is composed of courses over 12 months and closed off with a project. During the study all students will undertake an internship of a minimum of three months. Before the final project students will be prepared by a research techniques module
