In Pictures: Milano Moda Graduate show

The National Chamber of Italian Fashion (CNMI) has launched a new fashion initiative to help promote fashion students graduating from Italian fashion schools. The Chamber held a dedicated day for graduate fashion designers and gave them the opportunity to present their creations and collections on a catwalk.


The event was held Thursday morning, at the La Triennial museum and ended with a final presentation named ‘The Best of.’ All together fourteen Italian schools from the fashion sector were selected to participate in this new initiative, including: Accademia della Moda, Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Accademia Euromediterranea, Accademia Galli, AFOL Moda, Ars Sutoria, Domus Academy, IED Moda, Istituto di Moda Burgo, Istituto Marangoni, Istituto Modartech, Istituto Secoli, NABA Nuova Accademia Belle Arti, Politecnico de Milan.

A spotlight shone on the graduate students from the School of Fashion Istituto Marangoni. The theme for their catwalk presentation, which was live streamed, was ‘Fashion Warriors’, and called for the graduate students to show their dedication to continuing the future of the fashion industry using their creativity and new technologies. Each student presented a collection which consisted of 6 outfits for either men or women, with accessories that represented a mix of tradition and modern as well as a culmination of their own heritage.
