Timeless Muses - Tokyo, 29/08/2013.This Louis Vuitton exhibition is focused on women who move frontiers. The visitors are going to be asked to wear masks with polarized lenses because of the technological components that fill the exhibit.
From Philadelphia to Monaco: Grace Kelly, beyond the Icon – Philadelphia, 28/10/2013 to 26/01/2014. Great opportunity to explore the icon Grace Kelly: her life, her style, the Hermès Kelly bag, Yves Saint Laurent’s Mondrian dress, etc.
Virgule, etc… Dans Les Pas de Roger Vivier – Paris, 02/10/2013 to 18/11/2013. Take a walk through Roger Vivier’s most remarkable shoes.
Fashion Rules – London, 04/07/2013. This exhibit studies how Queen Elizabeth I, Princess Margaret, and Diana, Princess of Wales interpreted the fashions of their day.
A Queer History of Fashion: From the Closet to the Catwalk – New York City, 13/09/2013 to 04/01/2014. Some of the greatest designers in fashion history have been gay, and this exhibit explores the history of fashion "through the lens of gay and lesbian life and culture." The pieces in the exhibit come from the archives of Balenciaga, Versace and Jean Paul Gaultier.
The Amazing Shoemaker: Fairytales and Legends about Shoes and Shoemakers – Florence (Italy), open now until 31/03/2014. This exhibit examines the magical role of shoes in fairy tales and other stories that span history and the globe. It includes a short film, called ‘White Shoes’, about a young Salvatore Ferragamo creating a pair of white shoes for her sister’s communion.
