The German lifestyle clothing company Tom Tailor came up with something special for the AMD students in Munich.
The label proposed a challenge to create an outdoor jacket, announcing a storecheck-journey into a European metropole and the worldwide production of the designed jacket.

Under guidance of product manager Daniel Petersburs and Head of Division Karen Schröder, students of the 5th semester BA Fashion Design were set to work.
In teams of two the young designers worked 6 weeks on the design, the technical drawing, and the creation of both a women’s and men’s jacket.

Regular consults with the professionals ensured the improvement of the technical knowledge and should be seen as a role-model of exciting and bilateral benefits from the co-operations of fashion schools and the industry.

The Jackets of the winning team Susi Streich & Veronika Kaiser have already been produced for the A/W 12/13 season and are currently available in Tom Tailor Stores across 70 countries.
