Mango conquers the Big Apple

Thursday, 22 November 2007
Spanish fashion retailer Mango, has made the jump to the Big Apple by opening their first shop in the heart of Soho. The new store of the fashion apparel will open its doors on Broadway Avenue, in the Singer Building. This architecture was originally designed by Ernest Flagg in 1908, and considered as the first skyscraper of the world. With its iron structure and terracotta decoration the building has become a landmark of New York.

A cinematographic and industrial interior is recreated with antiques, deconstructed décor and by keeping the original brick walls in tact. The new Mango shop is set over one floor of 590 m2.

Globally Mango has 1.070 shops and with this new store, the total of the United States stores goes up to 16. In the near future the fashion retailer is looking at launching shops in Massachusetts (Boston) and New York (Queens).
