Job Description
M&Co. is a primarily ladies fashion retailer with an online store
www.mandco.com and almost 300 stores nationwide. We are looking for a Social Media Assistant, with excellent copywriting skills and a keen interest in online retail, to help boost our online presence. The ideal candidate will target all forms of online social media, including blogs, forums, affiliates and social networking sites, with the aim of increasing our brand awareness and sales.
Key responsibilities:
• Create and maintain an online presence through key social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter and Bebo
• Identify and build key relationships with authoritative online shopping forums and blogs
• Assist the Web Editor with the creation and implementation of online graphics
• Update affiliate websites on key promotions, new arrivals and exclusive online events
• Work with the Online Search & Traffic Co-ordinator to ensure that all SEO copy is accurate, commercial and on-brand
• Identify opportunities to increase our customer database through online promotional activities
• Assist with general online marketing activity
Person Specification
• Educated to degree level, preferably with a creative background in online copywriting/marketing/design
• Excellent copywriting skills, ideally with experience of fashion writing
• Proficient in graphics packages such as Photoshop/Illustrator
• Basic knowledge of HTML
• Excellent knowledge of social media sites
• Keen interest in online fashion retail
