Condé Nast launches fashion school 2 Years, 3 Months ago
London is to be a design institution richer. Condé Nast, the publisher of luxury fashion magazines Vogue, Tatler and GQ is to launch an International School of Fashion and Design. The school, which will be based in London, will provide foundation level, post graduate and further education courses in the areas of fashion and design.

Vogue.com recently began recruiting for a director to oversee the launch. The role will be responsible for all aspects of the school, including its academic programme and commercial success.

The school will sit alongside London's other fashion education establishments, such as Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion, which are considered some of the best in the world.

Acceptance to the school will no doubt be as difficult as gaining an internship at Vogue, but once you're in, you're in. We can only imagine the calibre of guest lecturers and course resources.

What do you think about one of the world's largest media publishers opening a school?

Condé Nast Fashion School Director Search is to be Continued

Nearly a month after Condé Nast officially began looking for a Condé Nast International Fashion School Director, the search for the right person for this position is still on - with more than 20 interviews of "exciting candidates" having already taken place.

According to Condé Nast managing director Nicholas Coleridge, "The candidates from both inside and outside the educational establishment are being interviewed. We might well end up with a surprise appointment. This is a highly interesting job, launching courses under the brand names of the most respected magazines in publishing."

I definitely feel highly curious and puzzled about who will lead one of the Alma Matters in fashion education word, as I have no doubts of Condé Nast School becoming one of them. Does anyone feel like sharing opinions on who might become the new Anna Wintour of a new promising fashion institution?
