What's the best social media strategy and which fashion brand has the most fans? In a search for trends and development in social network usage, FashionUnited has launched an index as an anchor around all these virtual social questions. Converse, Victoria's Secret, Adidas, Zara, Nike, Burberry en H&M lead the list with well over 8 million fans. The two Converse accounts lead with over 40 million fans, followed by Victoria's Secret with well over 15 million fans. Huge numbers once you know that most apparel brands have trouble getting over 250.000 fans.
This index measures the virtual popularity and seems to partially reflect the real added value and turnover of these companies.
As of now this FashionUnited index is maintained carefully and fashion brands will be added in order to be able to generate a top 1000 list. Furthermore, FashionUnited will also follow and report on the social media campaigns and other ‘social activities’ undertaken by the brands in this index.
