Karl Lagerfeld is turning his hand to makeup. The designer, who already creates collections
for Chanel, Fendi and his own label, is teaming up with Japanese beauty brand Shu Uemura.
After being asked why he will collaborate with Shu Uemura for the new make-up line, the designer, who has been using eyeshadows from Japanese cosmetic companies to design his sketches for almost two decades, said that other manufacturers do not offer such beautiful colors.
Today, Lagerfeld is intent on creating an entire collection that pays homage to Shu Uemura. The selection of colors and packaging were devised and entirely designed by the designer, who also created the collection’s visual campaign.
