Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab has announced that he will open his first store in Latin American
this summer in Mexico City. The shop-in-shop will be in Saks Fifth Avenue, which is located in the Santa Fe district of Mexico City.
The boutique will be located on the first floor of the department store within the womenswear department, and will carry the label’s ready-to-wear line, including eveningwear, and accessories.
This will be the designer’s sixth store worldwide and its second shop-in-shop after the one in Harrods. Elie Saab has a planned global expansion and currently has freestanding boutiques in Beirut, Paris, Dubai, Hong Kong, and plans to open more units by the end of the year.
Saab known for his red carpet gowns started his own label in 1982 and shows both ready-to-wear and couture collections in Paris.
