The International Apparel Federation (IAF) has benefited from strong membership growth, currently counting 65 associate members, 22 corporate members and national apparel associations in 41 countries worldwide.
The IAF Board of Directors is proud to welcome three new member associations, with immediate effect.
Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF) | Colombo, Sri Lanka
JAAF is a national umbrella association in Sri Lanka for apparel associations. These associations represent 350+ plants and a workforce of more than 1 million. This association is very active in promoting ethical business practices via the Garments without Guilt program.
PROMPERU | Lima, Peru
Due to the fact that Peru does not yet have a national apparel and/or textile association, this government body will take care of the interests on behalf of their industry within IAF. Within the fashion industry, PROMPERU’s main focus is trade shows, commercial missions, trade promotion and business intelligence. Peru is an upcoming country in fashion. It has great raw materials of high quality such as Pima, Alpaca and blends thereof.
IAF also welcomes VINATEX, the biggest group in the Vietnam textile and garment industry, consisting of more than 120 subsidiaries of production facilities and vertical integration nationwide, from raw materials to finished products. Besides manufacturing plants, the group also consists of several training schools and design institutes. Vinatex’s export turnover accounts for 1/3 turnovers of the total Vietnam textile and garment industry.
