We all love a good jean. In the past two seasons denim has had its high and low moments on the trend stakes, though it never manages to entirely escape the collective fashion conscience. Always on the look out for the hot new jean, we are pleased to have discovered
French Icon Lou Doillon's new capsule collection for Lee.
Says Lou of the collaboration; "Like everyone, I've had loads of denim in my time, but being asked to design my own range of clothes with Lee Cooper is a really exciting challenge. It's an opportunity for me to take a material everyone knows, and treat it in ways that nobody would ever expect. You know how we've all patched, ripped and pinned denim or anything else we could think of to make it more individual for that matter well, that's the sort of spontaneous spirit I've always admired, and was looking for here. If Lee Cooper had wanted 'normal', I really don't think they'd have asked me and I'm sure I haven't let them down!" The collection will launch for press and buyers during Paris fashion week and will be in stores early next year. Hot photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Veinoodh Matadin will be shooting the campaign. |
