Global brand management company and licensor Cherokee has launched its Cherokee brand in Peru with Falabella's Tottus Stores.The company also said it intends to develop several new partnerships over the next 12 to 24 months. Mark Nawrocki, executive vice president
and managing director of Cherokee Brand Development, said "We are proud of our recent launch in Peru as we continue to execute our 'world brand' strategy. With our partners covering over 30 countries around the world, Cherokee has become one of the fastest growing family lifestyle brands internationally."
"While we will continue to aggressively pursue partnerships throughout Western Europe and Russia, we will now put additional focus on building our brand presence throughout Asia as well. We believe we can develop several new partnerships over the next 12 to 24 months. In addition, we will begin to expand our brand representations to capitalize on international opportunities as well." The company will launch its brands in Spain with Grupo Eroski and in the Middle East with Geant, a division of Al Hokair, within the next twelve months. Cherokee Inc., based in Los Angeles, is a marketer, licensor and manager of a variety of brands it owns (Cherokee, Sideout, Carole Little and others) and represents.
