The Wal-Mart exclusive junior en girls denim brand l.e.i. will expand into shoes. Parent company Jones Apparel Group has signed a license agreement with Steven Madden for the design, manufacturing and distribution of the footwear under the l.e.i. brand.

l.e.i. is an acronym for LIFE, ENERGY, INTELLIGENCE and seeks to appeal to today’s modern American girls. “We believe the junior and girl’s customers recently discovering l.e.i. at Wal-Mart will be excited to accessorize their denim with trend right footwear at affordable prices. It will exceed the l.e.i. customer’s expectations shopping at Wal-Mart” stated Wesley Card, Jones Apparel Group President and CEO.
