Victoria Beckham launches men's denim range E-mail
Thursday, 13 March 2008
Victoria Beckham is to launch a men's denim range after designing women's for her dVb brand and American denim brand Rock & Republic. The former Spice Girl admits she has always been a huge fan of jeans on men and is using husband David as her muse: "I think guys should wear jeans big and baggy, with a big pair of boots or flip-flops - exactly how you see David when he's out in his jeans and T-shirt.

"I didn't want anything too tight around the crotch," said Beckham. :That really repulses me. It might be fashionable, but you are not going to get that from (Beckham's line) dVb."

The singer-turned-fashion icon's Japanese denim jeans won't come cheap - they'll retail for more than GBP100 - but fans will know they've got something that has her personal touch.

She adds, "I'm a complete control freak and I want everything to be perfect. I'm not doing a Britney Spears and just putting my name on something and saying, 'Sell this perfume.' This is a real passion of mine."

Beckham is the latest celebrity to front the Marc Jacobs campaign. The ads are currently in April issue of consumer fashion publications.
