Jonathan Faiers will reveal the full story on Tartan this September. Illustrated with over 150 colour images, Tartan weaves
together a story on the fabric’s history, art, music, film and fashion. “Faiers explores the cultural significance and surrounding connotations of tartan while conducting a comprehensive deconstruction of the fabric and its place and development throughout history from clanship to contemporary fashion", Ali McCulloch commented from design studio Precious McBane.
Tartan features a wide range of images varying from Hollywood to Highland and Brigadoon to Braveheart. The fashion images include Westwood, McQueen and Takahashi, to name but a few.
