The Material World trade show, an official event of the American Apparel & Footwear Association, returns to Miami in April 2009 with
new features and six new focus categories.
Tim von Gal, president of Material World said "For the April 2009 Miami Beach edition, we're tapping into some of the most important and fastest growing areas in the apparel supply chain industry today." The new areas will highlight: - Fabric and textile mills that make leather, suede, denim, fibre, cotton, synthetics, fur knits, trims and components ranging from beads and buttons to labels and zippers - Individual companies and country pavilions offering manufacture and/or contract production services - Equipment and machinery for producers of apparel, footwear and other sewn products; - Service providers ranging from logistics to packaging - Performance fabrics from moisture management, UV protection and anti-microbial, thermo regulation to wind/water resistance - Fabrics made from renewable resources ranging from organic cotton, bamboo soy and Ingeo to corn fibre and those crafted from ecological and environmentally sound processes. Timed to showcase spring/summer 2010 trends, Material World Miami Beach takes place from 21-23 April 2009. |
