Footwear maker Skins Inc announced it entered into a new development and manufacturing partnership with Henrich e Cia Ltda
in Brazil. The deal should help to reduce lead and shipping times.
Skins, whose patented, two-part footwear consists of outer collapsible "Skins" and an inner holistic orthopedic support section called the "Bone", says the new agreement will include the upcoming spring 2009 product line which hits stores next February. Mark Klein, president of Skins, said "The relationship will not affect deliveries for the upcoming 2009 season. We believe that the quality of our product will increase substantially with Henrich, and we will also generate cost savings across the board, including sampling, materials, molds, freight forwarding costs, etc., and will greatly reduce lead times and shipping times" Henrich already manufactures international brands such as Carrano, Max & Co, Clarks, Naturalizer, Good Guy Girl, Top Shop, Buffalo, Unisa, ARA, Talbots, Franco Sarto and others. |
