Designer Rachel Roy gave birth to her second daughter only three months ago and she is now back at work, collaborating with Grey ear.
Goose Vodka by designing a cocktail dress that will be worn by the Vodka Brand’s models at various events. The dresses will be first shown at Roy’s presentation at New York Fashion Week on September 4.
Rachel Roy’s life and success are an example of a modern day American dream. She came to New York at young age and started as a stylist. She quickly gained recognition and joined Rocawear, cofounded by her husband (t the time ‘boyfriend’), Damon Dash. She became creative director for the women’s and children’s division. In 2005 Roy launched her elegant namesake collection; the Rachel Roy Collection. Only three years later, in May 2008, the designer sold a 50 percent stake in her business to Jones Apparel Group.
