Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. has sued Sears Canada Inc, for breach of contact and
allegedly failing to pay royalties to use the trademark Martha Stewart Everyday on a licensing agreement.
By not paying the full royalties Sears Canada Inc owes Martha Stewart Living C$1.82m, according to the filed complaint. Due to the outstanding amount, Martha Stewart has requested a reimbursement of C$1.82m. Since September 2003, Sears Canada exceeded C$100m of Martha Stewart-branded items. |
