Dutch lingerie designer Marlies Dekkers is taking the world by storm. Winner of the Prix Veuve Clicquot Businesswoman of the Year
award in 2004, the designer has opened her first store at the New York Plaza Hotel. Similar to the Marlies Dekkers stores in Antwerp, Amsterdam, Paris and Bangkok, the New York store breaths a modern boutique atmosphere featuring chandeliers and a warm colour scheme. Men and women will succeed at the shop, which stocks the 'undressed' range for both men and women, alongside the 'sundressed' beachwear and 'sunglasses' collections.
In Holland, Marlies Dekkers is known for her innovative, directional design and creating to please women. Leaving romantic lace and ribbon far behind, her style is subtle, but striking. With her 'Sundressed' swimwear and 'Nightdress' nightwear range, Marlies Dekkers wants to give women strength and self-confidence. The Dutch lingerie brand has 1000 points of sale worldwide and has recently launched her sixth Marlies Dekkers store in Paris, St. Germain, which will be followed by a store opening in Berlin in 2008.
