The Nine West flagship store in New York has completed its remodeling process. The new look was created by the design team of mother company Jones Apparel Group, in partnership with Fred Allard, Nine West’s creative director.

Initially opened in 1994, the Nine West flagship store located on 5th Avenue at 53rd Street, is one of many Nine West stores across the country that Jones is remodeling as part of the company's initiative to enhance its vertical retail operations.

Sheryl Bloom, president of Fashion Footwear, Retail for Jones Apparel Group, said, "We are excited to open the doors of our flagship store, the design of which evokes the passion that women have for shoes, and creates a shoe lover's dream. “

“The elements and techniques used throughout the store up the ante on styling fashion footwear and make it an artwork to crave. Initial consumer response has been one of intrigue and delight, creating a real buzz about the store and the brand. We believe this and other remodeling efforts will revitalize our brand and create a truly unique shopping experience for our consumers."

The 2,185 square foot store has visually stimulating fixtures and elements. Products are displayed on illuminated, sleek white tables that appear to float on the concrete tile floor to give the visual effect of a runway in the center of the store. Recessed black tracks in the ceiling cove further enhance the runway design. Presented on the perimeter walls of the store is a stage of shoes with white risers and thick Plexiglas shelves highlight the product. To add local flavor, the work of New York City artist Franck Salzwedel are on display.
