Retailer JCPenney Co. Inc. announced the launch of an exclusive line of trend clothing designed by Esprit de Corps co-founder and A.B.S.
brand-name owner, Allen B. Schwartz.
The new line, Allen B., will debut in JCPenney stores, online and via catalogue in spring 2009, and will include tees, knit tops, blouses, sweaters, pants, jeans and jackets, along with dresses for day and night. Sportswear items will range from $30 for a t-shirt to $72 for a jacket. Dresses will run from $70 to $80. "Allen B. is an exciting addition to our growing portfolio of exclusive designer brands, which continue to offer our customers coveted designer brands at smart prices," said Ken Hicks, JCPenney president and chief merchandising officer. JCPenney hopes that the line will provide a sales boost by appealing to trendy customers aged 21-35 who are trimming spending amid the financial crisis and are seeking lower prices. JCPenney recently announced a clothing line by fashion designer Charlotte Ronson named I "Heart" Ronson, beginning in the spring of 2009. |
